Rick Mayer is an associate at Lax & Neville LLP, with a practice primarily in securities and financial industry disputes and regulatory matters before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and state and federal courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Rick gained extensive regulatory compliance experience working with a large international bank. This work ranged from partnering with the business to maintain compliance with new regulation, to responding directly to regulatory inquiries and examinations.
Rick graduated with a J.D. from St. John's University School of Law, where he was an intern for the Securities Arbitration Clinic, as well as a research assistant for Prof. Christine Lazaro. He also graduated summa cum laude from St. John's University with a Bachelor's degree in Government & Politics.
Rick is admitted to practice in New York State.
