Jessica A. Murzyn is a senior counsel at Lax, Neville & Intelisano, LLP. Jessica represents individual and institutional investors in securities arbitrations and litigations against financial firms as well as financial industry employees in industry disputes.

Since 2013, Jessica has focused on trying large and complex financial fraud cases on behalf of investors. For example,

  • In 2022 and 2023, Jessica was a member of the team that won two FINRA arbitration awards on behalf of investors in the UBS YES options strategy. At the time, the awards – $5.2 million and $3.2 million – were the largest awards in cases involving the UBS YES strategy.
  • In 2016, Jessica was a member of the team that secured $10 million in damages and the denial of a $6 million counterclaim in a FINRA arbitration against a clearing firm related to its relationship with a registered investment advisory firm.

Jessica also has represented multiple employes in disputes with Wall Street firms. For example,

  • In 2019, Jessica was a member of the team that represented multiple former Atlanta-based financial advisors against Credit Suisse. In two separate FINRA arbitrations, the team secured over $6 million for the former advisors as a result of Credit Suisse’s failure to pay them deferred compensation and bonuses.
  • Jessica was also a member of the team that won $1 million, as well as interest, attorneys’ fees, and costs, for a former senior Cantor Fitzgerald executive as a result of firm’s failure to pay bonuses and compensate him for partnership units.

Prior to joining Lax, Neville & Intelisano, LLP, Jessica was a senior counsel at Rich, Intelisano & Katz, LLP from April 2013 to February 2025.

Between 2008 and 2012, Jessica was an associate at Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP. At Friedman Kaplan, she represented a variety of individual and corporate clients in securities, real estate and general commercial litigation and arbitrations. For example, she represented a high net worth client in a FINRA arbitration against the client’s investment advisor, and she represented a real estate limited liability company in a JAMS arbitration that resulted in an award in the client’s favor. She also represented an individual both before, during, and after the trial of an SEC enforcement action in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in a case involving allegations of insider trading and reporting violations.

Ms. Murzyn began her legal career in 1999 with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she represented corporations and financial firms in securities, insurance, RICO and general commercial litigation and government investigations.

Ms. Murzyn obtained her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Columbia University in 1994.
